Swan Valley visitor info
The Swan Valley and surrounds is regarded as one of Western Australia’s premier tourism regions. Only 25 minutes from the Perth CBD and 10 minutes from the domestic airport, it is a renowned grape growing region containing world-class wineries, restaurants, cafes, galleries, fresh food produce, breweries, distilleries, recreational activities, antiques, nature based attractions, arts, crafts trails and accommodation.
The Swan Valley is the oldest and most visited wine region in Western Australia with many of the vineyards growing from a rich heritage forged by southern European migrant families in the early 1900’s and post World War II years.
In more recent years, a new generation of winemakers, microbrewers, food producers, restaurateurs, artists and boutique hoteliers have opened their businesses in the valley. Many of the wineries also operate high quality restaurants or cafes to complement their cellar door sales.
With its growing maturity as a centre for all things gourmet, the Swan Valley has earned its reputation as 'Perth’s Valley of Taste'.
